In 1883, George Edwin Bissell (American, 1839-1920) was commissioned to create the Lincoln Monument in Edinburgh, Scotland, commemorating the Scottish-American soldiers who fought in the Civil War. This impressive bronze bust of Abraham Lincoln is one in a series of reductions started in 1906. It makes a beautiful addition to any study or office with it’s strong, quiet dignity.
